It is my pleasure to welcome you to our website – the window onto our world. We have two “Good” schools on our campus and the only local “Outstanding” sixth form provision. Our 2019 GCSE results also placed us as the number one school in England for improved progress. We are going from strength to strength and have been able to do that because of an excellent staff team and constant support from our parent body.

The Banbury Aspirations campus is a vibrant learning community. We have two very different schools on our site (please visit the Futures Institute website www.futuresbanbury.org for more information on the pathways available) and of course our “outstanding” sixth form provision which attracts many students from other schools locally and beyond.

Our students are courteous, friendly and a joy to work with. They are a credit to themselves and their families. Our improving results are testament to their desire to achieve their very best.

In every decision we make we stay true to our Trust’s three guiding principles: self-worth, engagement and purpose. Our core values are unashamedly traditional. We place great emphasis on all members of the community being polite, honest and kind. We applaud hard work and support students to develop the resilience they will need in adult life. We provide an environment where everyone can feel safe and happy but, if there is an issue that makes them feel otherwise, that there is a trusted adult they can turn to. We have grown our welfare team and provide specialist Nurture support in KS3 for those students who need an extra helping hand.

In Year 7 and Year 8 students now follow an innovative curriculum model that all secondary schools in our Trust have adopted. There is more about this if you follow this link KS3 ATL Curriculum. Our GCSE courses begin in Year 10 and we offer a broad range of subjects. It is Trust policy that we engage as many students as possible in learning a language and a humanities subject. We run a number of vocational courses too as we try to provide something that every learner will enjoy doing. In the sixth form we run an employability course in Year 12 which cover all of the “soft skills” that employers want their new recruits to have. We meet all of the Gatsby benchmarks for Careers Education and Ofsted were very complimentary about our PSHE provision. Our desire is to educate “the whole child” and therefore sport, art, music and drama all still have a prominent place in both our curriculum and our after school clubs and activities.

For teachers or support staff who are interested in joining our teams here we have an excellent package of CPD and plenty of opportunities for professional growth. We work with colleagues from across the Trust and the new world of virtual meetings has opened up all sorts of possibilities for us.

We encourage visits from parents to see our campus “in action”. When you visit us you will find a calm and purposeful environment. We look forward to meeting you to show off what we have to offer children who study with us and the amazing opportunities we can offer to prospective job candidates.
