Year 9 at Futures hosted a Marine Engineering workshop. The instructor led the students through the theory of buoyancy and they designed their own cargo carrying boats with prizes for the design that held the most marbles.
The students enjoyed learning the science and finding out more about the opportunities available in engineering careers. They were very impressed by the wages available for submarine engineers!
