What is a CAT4 test? It is a suite of tests which assesses a student’s reasoning (thinking) abilities in key areas that support educational development and academic attainment.

The four areas the tests look at are:

  • Verbal: Thinking with Words
  • Quantitative: Thinking with Numbers
  • Non-Verbal: Thinking with Shapes
  • Spatial: Thinking with Shapes and Space
