Parent Forums
We are delighted to invite parents and guardians to our Parent Forums taking place throughout the academic year. These sessions will run either during the day or in the evenings and can either be held at school or off site at a neutral location.
Parent Forums offer a welcoming and informal space for families to engage with the school community. They are a chance to share thoughts, ask questions, raise concerns, and contribute to open discussions on key topics. We believe that strong communication and partnership with parents are essential to the continued growth of our school culture and the success of our students.

Students complete a designated improvement and reflection task after each assessment but aren’t clear about the other ways they are supported to improve the topics they are finding difficult
What we did:
Staff will make it explicit to students when reteaching content that students found challenging that this is to support them to improve the areas they found difficult in the previous assessments.

Parents with SEN children appreciated being able to see the SENCO for an appointment at parents evenings but would like an annual opportunity for a longer meeting if required
What we did:
We will invite parents of SEN students who don’t have EHCPs to complete a google form each year, where they can request a meeting to discuss their child if required.

Parents would like the opportunity to regularly update the school on matters arising from home that might impact on school.

When we ask parents to provide us with an annual update of their details we will add a question asking for any updates on their child that might be useful for us to know

Parents really enjoyed the tour of Dashwood School as part of this parents forum and would really appreciate being able to have a tour of the Banbury Campus in a parents forum in the future.
What you did:
We will schedule our Autumn parents forum on campus and combine it with an opportunity to have a tour of the school and to visit some classrooms.
