Mr Sullivan had the privilege of proudly representing Wykham Park Academy at Buckingham Palace last Friday (9 May).
He was invited to the Gold Award event at the Palace in recognition of his involvement with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
The garden party featured many inspirational speakers, including Amy Dowden, Larry Lamb, Victoria Derbyshire, and Alex Scott. Mr Sullivan also had the pleasure of speaking with 11-time Paralympic gold medal winner Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, who attended the event with her daughter.
His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh, spoke about the achievements of all those taking part in the scheme and thanked the parents, teachers, and supporters who have invested so much passion and effort into pursuing the goal of being the best they can be.
“It was such a fantastic celebration of what the DofE stands for,” Mr Sullivan said. “I feel honoured to have been invited.”
